Female College Museum receives renovation


Mayor Curtis McCoy and one of his staff members, Brian Phillips, along with Alderman Joseph Hall, Jr. recently conducted an inspection tour of the renovation being done at the Mansfield Female College Museum. Work is underway on the auditorium building known as the "Lyceum" using local and area workmen.

Caterer Tim Pilinski provided a fried fish lunch with all the trimmings for the guests and workers. Mayor McCoy expressed his appreciation for the work being done on the structure that will serve the city and parish as a much-needed civic auditorium and meeting facility. Guests included Donald Ray Alexander, Major Ross, Harold Henderson, Ricky Walker, Raymond Powell, Glen Edwards, Mayor McCoy, Brian Phillips, Barbara Valentine, Marcia Calhoun, Kenny Kelly, Joseph Hall, Jr., Mike Martin, Riemer Calhoun, Jr., Tim Pilinski and Rebecca Mosely.
