The Mayor and City Council recognize that keeping the City clean is a great part of
attracting visitors and economic development to our community. Ensuring a sustainable
future for Mansfield is one of the reasons why the Mayor and City Council acknowledged the
need to purchase two vehicles and provide personal to operate a Community Cleanup program.
Using supervised nonviolent prison inmates to clean up public places and perform community service results in the City being a more attractive, safer place to live and provides an opportunity for inmates to make restitution to the community. The City of Mansfield's "Community Cleanup" program is supervised by the Mansfield Police Department's own officers Charles Harris and Lamar Webb.
