DeSoto Parish Industrial Board          

The DeSoto Parish Industrial Board is comprised of 12 members with each community naming a representative, plus one member from the DeSoto Parish Police Jury.  The board meets on the first Tuesday of each month at the DeSoto Parish Chamber of Commerce. 

  • This board is charged with working with both the private and public sectors of the parish in locating property that can be marketed for commercial businesses and industrial use
  • Requests for proposals furnished by Louisiana Economic Development-LED (state) and
    North Louisiana Economic Partnership-NLEP (regional) are furnished comprehensive information either in a professional book or on-line to consultants and/or businesses themselves within a generally specified time frame. 
  • Businesses/potential clients arriving in the City are welcome to visit City Hall.  Mayor Curtis McCoy and his staff are eager to meet with potential members of our business community and show you around the City. 
  • Follow-up is then done if additional help is needed.  North Louisiana Economic Partnership and
    Coordinating & Development Corporation (CDC) both work with the City and DeSoto Parish Industrial Board.

The City of Mansfield also has a representative on the DeSoto Parish Industrial Board and is a member of the executive board for Northwest Louisiana CDC.  The local government is very active in attracting and supporting new and perspective businesses to the City.
